An orderly work desk with a closed, charcoal-gray linen-bound notebook neatly placed alongside a polished silver pen atop a pale oak surface. A minimalist ceramic succulent pot sits nearby, its matte white finish and structured succulent leaves adding organic contrast. The background is softly out of focus, revealing a neutral light-gray wall and hints of modern office decor. Diffused daylight filters in at an angle, creating gentle highlights and barely-there shadows, establishing a calm, focused workspace. Captured from a slightly elevated angle with an emphasis on clean lines and negative space, the photographic realism and structured composition enhance the professional, composed mood—ideal for conveying clarity and purposeful reflection in therapy and organizational consultation.

Hello there and welcome!

Kokoro Balance supports individuals and organizations by integrating clinical expertise with leadership, organizational, and business strategy.

With over 20 years of experience as a clinician, consultant, and healthcare leader, I work at the intersection of behavioral health, leadership, and organizational strategy. I provide therapy for individuals and strategic consultation for businesses, partnering with leaders to address the human dynamics that influence performance, culture, and sustainable growth.

My work with organizations goes beyond surface level interventions. I collaborate with executives, HR leaders, and management teams to assess challenges, clarify strategy, and implement practical, people-centered solutions related to change management, employee well-being, communication, engagement, and critical incidents.

In my clinical practice, I offer a grounded, compassionate space for individuals navigating stress, transitions, trauma, relationships, and personal growth, recognizing that strong organizations are built on healthy, supported individuals.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish and bring a bicultural perspective to my work, ensuring thoughtful, culturally responsive care and consultation across both clinical and organizational settings.

What is Kokoro?

It can be translated to mind, spirit, heart, will, feeling, intention, thought, or core. Usually mind or heart is used, and in reference to the true nature and intention of human spirit. It refers to the core of the human being. It is believed that if the core of the individual’s personality is not truly involved in an action taken by the human being, then that action is doomed to failure. But if the person’s Kokoro is projected into action, then success is ascertained and nothing is impossible.
